1. About The Blind Academy
The Blind Academy is a social initiative that works with blind and partially sighted individuals, providing training, creative opportunities, and dignified livelihood through art and craft. Funds raised through this website are used to support our artists, training programs, materials, operations, and outreach.
2. Nature of Contributions
All payments made on this website are voluntary donations made to support the work of The Blind Academy.
In certain cases, donors may optionally request a handcrafted desktop calendar as a return gift in appreciation of their support. The calendar is not sold, has no commercial price, and is shared purely as a thank-you gesture.
Your contribution is not a purchase transaction.
3. Calendar Return Gift (If Selected)
- The calendar is offered only when the donor selects the “Calendar Return Gift” option. A minimum support amount per calendar applies, as clearly shown on the donation page.
- The number of calendars requested must correspond to the support amount selected.
- Calendars are handcrafted and may show natural variations, which are part of their uniqueness.
- Dispatch timelines may vary based on availability, production schedules, and location.
The Blind Academy reserves the right to limit, delay, or discontinue the calendar return gift if circumstances require.
4. Pure Donations (Without Calendar)
Donors may choose to support The Blind Academy without receiving any return gift. In such cases:
- No physical item will be shipped.
- No shipping address is required beyond what is necessary for records or communication.
5. Shipping & Address Information
When a calendar return gift is selected:
- Providing a complete and accurate address is mandatory.
- The Blind Academy is not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the donor.
Shipping is currently offered at no additional cost.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
- Donations made to The Blind Academy are non-refundable, as they directly support our mission and artists.
- Once a calendar has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled or returned.
- In rare cases of damaged or failed delivery, please contact us and we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.
7. Use of Funds
Funds raised are used for:
- Artist stipends and livelihoods
- Training programs and materials
- Operational and administrative expenses
- Outreach, awareness, and sustainability of the academy
Exact allocation may vary based on needs and priorities.
8. Intellectual Property
All artworks, images, designs, and content displayed on this website are the intellectual property of The Blind Academy and/or the respective artists.
They may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without prior written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Blind Academy shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of this website
- Delays or interruptions caused by technical issues, third-party services, or logistics partners
Use of the website is at the user’s own discretion.
10. Privacy & Data Use
Personal information collected during donation or checkout is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data protection laws.
We do not sell or misuse donor data.
11. Changes to Terms
The Blind Academy may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective once published on the website.
Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
